  1.            First Time Installation for Home Sales System 3.21 (tm)

  3.   NOTE: If you have installed the shareware version of the Home Sales System
  4.   (tm) read the README.TO file. The instructions in the README.1ST file are
  5.   for new users that have NEVER installed the Home Sales System (tm).
  6.  
  7.   The Installation process for Homes Sales System (tm) takes just a simple
  8.   few steps.
  9.  
  10.   1) Create a directory on your hard drive named "HSS."
  11.  
  12.                                 MD HSS (enter)
  13.  
  14.   2) Go to the new directory named HSS.
  15.  
  16.                                 CD HSS (enter)
  17.  
  18.   3) Place the Home Sales System (tm) disk in drive A: and close the door.
  19.  
  20.   4) Copy the file, HSS321.EXE, (on the distribution disk) in drive A: to the
  21.   new HSS directory on your hard drive.

  23.                           COPY A:\HSS321.EXE (enter)
  24.  
  25.   5) You must UNPACK the Home Sales System (tm) from HSS321.EXE. To unpack the
  26.   file (be sure you are in the new HSS directory) just type HSS321. The file
  27.   will automatically unpack.

  29.                                 HSS321 (enter)

  31.   The file, HSS321.EXE, holds the compressed Home Sales System (tm) files. The
  32.   file will now unpack the program to a usable form. Be sure to remove the
  33.   distribution disk from drive A: and store it properly.

  35.   6) You should be in the directory of HSS on your hard drive, now delete the
  36.   file HSS321.EXE from the HSS directory.

  38.                             DEL HSS321.EXE (enter)

  40.   7) Now you may start the Home Sales System (tm) program.

  44.   NOTE: To insure the Shell feature will work correctly be sure that your
  45.   AUTOEXEC.BAT file includes the line SET COMSPEC=x:\COMMAND.COM. In the
  46.   example COMMAND.COM is in the C: drive and in the DOS directory.

  48.                    Example:   SET COMSPEC=C:\DOS\COMMAND.COM

  51.   NOTE: To insure there is enough room to run the program check your
  52.   CONFIG.SYS file. Please set the "files" to at least 25 and the "buffers" to
  53.   at least 25.
